After seeing so many Mood Trackers, I was not sure it would be something useful for me. I was kind of indifferent. But some of my subscribers on YouTube asked for one, so I started rummaging my mind for an original idea.
It usually works like this: There's a theme for the month, "coffee" for example. So you draw 31 cups of coffee and add a color code for each mood, so each day you would draw one cup in the corresponding color.
I saw, cups, fish, leaves, lanterns, bears, fruits, crystals... the sky is the limit, but the layout was always the same. There's also the year in pixels but that seemed, to me, even less fun. So while binge watching mood trackers for ideas, I came across one that had lightbulbs hanging at different lengths, as the author started filling the numbers next to each lightbulb, my eyes unfocused on the screen and saw englightment: Connect the Dots! A new idea was born.
As a child I used to LOVE connecting the dots, I tried to do it the natural way, I mean, I hated when a dog looked quite lineal and spikey. Drawing it all afterwards, was really rewarding.
So my Mood Tracker with the Connect the Dots technique will not be strict, it's open to a lot of free drawing, really fun and entertaining. I drew a mason jar with flowers and then added 31 dots (one for each day of January), all over the circumference. Each day, as I know which color my mood was, I will fill one dot and draw a subsequent thick line in the same color, and so on. I did this sample in Procreate:

As soon as the idea materialized in my mind I grabbed my Bullet Journal and started sketching while filming, so you can watch that video in my Instagram TV @nala_mx
I'm really happy with how this turned out and just thinking of all the possibilities using it puts a smile on my face. So if you feel like doing it yourself, tag me and hashtag it with #connectthedotsmoodtracker so I can see it!
Thanks for reading me,
Nala
